Josh Jojola

I am proud to nominate Deputy Joshua Jojola for Employee of the Month. Deputy Jojola consistently goes above and beyond the expectations of his role, embodying the core values of the Utah County Sheriff's Office: integrity, service, and dedication. Near Christmas time last year, Deputy Jojola recognized that several victims of abuse in our community were unlikely to receive any Christmas gifts. Without any prompting and with no desire for recognition, Deputy Jojola personally purchased and delivered presents to these victims. He never mentioned what he had done. I only learned about this act of kindness after a grateful citizen posted about it online. Deputy Jojola’s compassion and drive are not limited to isolated moments. In a recent fraud case involving the theft of a minor’s Social Security Number, Deputy Jojola demonstrated exceptional investigative ability and compassion. He worked diligently to identify and locate the suspect, taking the victim’s concerns seriously and treating the family with respect and empathy throughout. His efforts led to the successful identification of the suspect, prompting the victim’s mother to hand-deliver a thank-you note to our Chief Deputy, stating that Deputy Jojola was “awesome and crucial in finding the suspect” in a case they were told would likely go unsolved. Deputy Jojola treats every victim as if they are his number one priority. He builds trust, shows empathy, and follows through. His consistent service is deeply appreciated by both the community and this agency. He represents what it means to be a public servant in the truest sense.
