Chris Yannelli
Employee of the Month - May 2025

Chris Yanelli is too humble to think he’s worthy of being nominated as employee of the month, but he most definitely is more than worthy. Chris labors with great care for the youth in our community in the juvenile court system. He’s an expert advocate for the best outcome in each case he’s assigned and will often volunteer for cases that others would rather not take, a tell tale sign of a good leader. He’s an expert collaborator with the juvenile probation officers who work intimately with the youth in trouble. Chris is always sharing, teaching, and befriending those he works with at the court. He manages attorneys and legal assistants in the juvenile and justice courts within the Attorney’s Office with deep care shown through his actions. Chris will work through issues with grace and gratitude earning the respect of those he leads and his peers. He genuinely and naturally makes each individual feel important and valued. Honestly, I’m not even sure that he thinks he “works” for the County as he is a friend to everyone, and every conversation is littered with laughter. Though it appears Chris achieves greatness with ease, I can assure you that underneath all the cavalier, he makes an immeasurable effort to ensure those around him are successful. Chris has earned, in my humble opinion, Utah County’s Employee of the Month recognition for his years of service to the County of Utah and their youth.
Sincerely, Chelsea Harvey
I think Chris is exceptional in his support for his team. He is a great supervisor. He is very easygoing but not in the "I can do what I want, and he won’t care" way but in that if he sees someone needs accommodations or to adjust something he always makes it happen and backs his people up to boot. Even when someone has potentially been in the wrong, I have seen Chris take a very reasonable approach where he gives everyone the benefit of the doubt. Plus, he is hysterical. There is nothing like a team meeting led by Chris!

Chris is an absolute legend! What an absolute joy it is to nominate Chris for his extraordinary years of work as a deputy county attorney in the juvenile division of the Utah County Attorney’s Office! In the intricate world of juvenile law. Chris has mastered the art of holding young defendants accountable while simultaneously preserving their dignity and potential for positive transformation. #,* When Chris walks into a room, it's like sunshine just burst through the door. His smile is contagious, and suddenly everyone can't help but be happy. He’s the type of colleague that brings energy, positivity, and that special Chris magic wherever he goes! He is an avid fisherman, kills it on the pickleball court, and when he’s a little frustrated with his NY Jets, you can hear some of his Long Island accent come through! Fuhgeddaboutit!
His helpfulness isn't just about getting tasks done; it's about how he makes people feel supported and valued. He turns mundane workdays into adventures, and his fun spirit lifts everyone's mood. Seriously, he’s like a human morale booster packed into one incredible human being! more like a joyful journey we're all lucky to be on together.
