Shad Burraston

Employee of the Month - April 2025

While Shad Burraston has recently taken a new role as the Division Manager of Buildings, he has been an employee of Public Works for over eight (8) years. During his time at the county, he has played an essential role in keeping the County buildings safe and ensuring that employees have appropriate access to their designated areas. He has always been a team player and his essential contribution and dedication to the Public Works department and the County as a whole has made him a great example for all of his fellow coworkers. Anybody that knows Shad knows that he is an outstanding individual who is dependable and always portrays a great work ethic. Recently, he was tasked with updating the access controls for all Utah County facilities to eliminate the potential of hacking and cloning of county keycards. He works tirelessly to keep us at the forefront of the best technology for touchless entry and a unified security system. During his first week as the Division Manager of Buildings, he had the opportunity to shine as he dealt with the electrical issues at the Administration Building. He put in many hours of effort meeting with the city, contractors and the buildings staff to ensure that the building could be restored to operations as quickly as possible so that the rest of the County departments could fulfill their civic duty and serve the citizens of Utah County safely. Let’s just say that his first couple of weeks as the Division Manager but Shad has carried the load with confidence and poise as he does his very best to provide a safe and comfortable environment for the tenants of the County buildings. It is employees like Shad Burraston who give Utah County employees a good name and make Utah County a great place to work.
