Dear EOM Committee -- As a team, it is a pleasure to nominate one of the best workers in the County. Sam Edwards has worked for Utah County as an Equipment Operator – Public Works Department since 2014.
Recently Sam was called to assist with an unanticipated mudslide that occurred by Diamond Fork Canyon on June 24th. Sam worked tirelessly to reopen the road to ensure those trapped by the flow could get home safely. Dave Johnson mentions that Sam is the hardest worker and a great example to us all. He takes his responsibilities and performs them to the very best of his ability and never fails to accomplish them. Sam has a great attitude and always helps lift the burdens of those he works with. Tyler Shepherd stated that Sam is hands down the best worker we have on our crew. He’s always on the ball and has such a great energetic attitude that greatly affects anyone who works with him. He’s a fantastic team player, always willing to jump in and help with anything and everything he can. Steve Roylance said that Sam is the most dedicated hard-working person on the job. Marty Jensen also says that Sam is one of the most considerate, willing to help anyone with anything type of guy. He is the hardest working men I have ever known. He gives 100% every day and tries his hardest to please everyone. He is a great man to say the least. On top of being a great co-worker, Sam is an amazing husband and father at home and is a great example of work-life balance.
