Carson Holm

Employee of the Month - December 2024

I would like to nominate Detective Carson Holm for employee of the month.

Carson is assigned as the detective for the contract city of Vineyard. Carson takes care of Vineyard cases with professionalism and dedication to the city he is in charge of. Over the past couple of months, Carson has worked several noteworthy cases and arrests were made in two instances clearing up multiple cases.

Vineyard was having a rash of vehicle burglaries and vehicle thefts. The suspects were targeting Hyundai vehicles due to a manufacturing problem with the keys making the vehicles easy to steal. It was thought that this could be due to a social media platform letting kids know of the issue with the vehicles. With some networking with other detectives and interviews with suspects, Carson was able to confirm the main suspect as being a juvenile male who has left the State of Utah but is on juvenile probation with another state. Carson has been working with attorneys and detectives from out of state to bring this juvenile to justice for approximately 8 vehicle burglaries or vehicle thefts out of Vineyard.

Another recent case Carson was able to make an arrest on was a Rocky Mountain Substation that was broken into in the middle of the night. Over $10,000 worth of copper was taken from the Vineyard Substation; other substations in the state had been recently hit also. Carson was able to work with other detectives to locate suspects and make arrests.

Carson has closed out more cases by arrest than any other detective in our detective assignment over my time here as a supervisor and he is doing a great job.
