Jeff Steiner

Employee of the Month - December 2022

I would like to nominate Jeff Steiner for employee of the month. Jeff has worked at the Sheriffs Office for 17 years. Over that time Jeff has work in Corrections, Transportation, and Judicial. Jeff is currently assigned as a Bailiff. Jeff has never been the type to just get by. He constantly goes out of his way to find things to do and help his teammates. Jeff is always the first one to volunteer for any transport, anywhere in the state. He actively works in his courtroom assisting Attorneys with exhibits and other court procedures. After watching Jeff Working in his courtroom it is clear a desk and chair are waisted on him as he never takes a moment to sit down. Jeff continually monitors his judges schedule and often changes his personal days off to better cover the needs of the court and to prevent extra workload on teammates. Jeff often plans and presents trainings on building security, handcuffing and restraining inmates, and any other topic he can dream up, including the proper way to eat an orange. Any time a extra assignment is offered Jeff is the first to jump at it. He is truly on of the hardest workers at the Sheriffs Office.

On top of his exemplary work ethic, Jeff is a pleasure to interact with. Moring shift briefings are often turned to him and banter between he and coworkers. Jeff is not one to shy away from banter and often builds upon it at his own expense to lighten the mood. Jeff is one person you would be hard pressed to hear say a harsh word towards anyone even if it is observed.

For those reasons I would like to nominate Jeff for employee of the month.

Mat Farnsworth.
